We are currently hiring a Payroll Administrator to work in Mississauga, ON.
This is a direct hire position – you will be hired on as an employee directly by our client.
This position will be responsible for inputting and processing weekly payroll in-office for a Logistics company.
Salary: $50,000-55,000/year based on experience
Shift: Day shifts Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
– Weekly payroll functions including preparation, calculation, and disbursement of wages, deductions, overtime payment, incentive earnings, and garnishments
– Verify payroll changes and timesheet data
– Prepare weekly/monthly reports
– Process weekly/monthly third-party payments
– Create, update, maintain payroll policies and procedures
– Respond to payroll-related questions
– Assist with audits
– Maintain payroll registers and other payroll-related files
– Other duties as required
Qualifications:
– PCP certification or enrolled in PCP certification program with National Payroll Institute (NPI)
– Experience with full-cycle Canadian payroll (minimum 2 years) and knowledge of Canadian payroll practices and legislation
– Experience doing payroll within the manufacturing industry or similar industry (minimum 2 years)
– Experience working with complex HRIS payroll systems
– Good computer skills (specifically Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word)
– Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
– Strong time management skills and problem-solving skills
– Ability to handle strict deadlines
– High attention to detail
– Able to work full-time
– Experience with US payroll is an asset
