Breakaway Executive Search is seeking an experienced Non-Asset Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth for our client, an established Warehousing company, in Mississauga, ON.
The ideal candidate is a high-performing sales professional with a strong network of shippers, a proven ability to generate new business, and a deep understanding of third-party logistics and brokerage operations.
Salary: $80,000/year + commission
Responsibilities:
– Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within targeted industries and shipping segments
– Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, supply chain managers, and logistics decision-makers
– Develop customized transportation and logistics solutions using our non-asset carrier network
– Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and contract closing
– Collaborate with operations and carrier procurement teams to ensure seamless service execution
– Maintain accurate pipeline and sales activity tracking in CRM systems
– Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets
– Stay informed on market trends, freight rates, and competitive landscape
– Other duties as required
Qualifications:
– 5+ years of experience in transportation brokerage, freight forwarding, or third-party logistics (3PL) sales
– Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
– Strong network within Canadian or North American shipping markets
– Deep understanding of truckload, LTL, intermodal, and cross-border freight solutions
– Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
– Self-motivated with strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently and drive results
