We are looking for an experienced Freight Pricing/Rating Clerk to join our client’s team in Mississauga, ON.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days at home and 2 days at the office.
Pay: $Up to $22.00-23.00/hour
Shift: Day shifts, 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
– Preparing and providing LTL/FTL freight quotes, spot quotes, customer requests, and RFP opportunities while ensuring clients are provided with cost-effective solutions
– Reviewing customer disputes/short pay
– Preparing reports
– Validating data, basic analysis, using historical rate data when needed
– Using software to enter and manage rate data
– Other duties as required
Qualifications:
– College/University Degree or Equivalent
– Minimum of 4 years of previous experience in a similar role within the LTL Transportation industry
– Strong understanding of LTL freight movement/processes
– Knowledge of class rating scales
– Understanding per hundred weight rate bases
– Strong computer skills
– High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word)
– Experience with TMW, Freshdesk, and BamKPI
– Excellent customer service skills
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
– Strong math skills
– Strong critical thinking skills
– High level of accuracy/attention to detail
– Strong multi-tasking skills
– Able to work independently or as part of a team
– Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
