We are seeking Forklift operators to work in a warehouse in Guelph, ON.
The associates are safely operating an electric forklift to move, load, and unload materials within a warehouse. Also, the associates are working with a team as part of an assembly line to repackage & relabel product. The completed product is placed in boxes, and the boxes are stacked on pallets and shrink wrapped.
Shifts:
– Day shift, 7:00am or 7:30am start time, Monday-Friday
– Afternoon shifts Monday-Friday
Pay: $18.00/hour
Location: Guelph, ON
Key requirements:
– Forklift license: valid forklift license is required, and minimum 6 months of experience operating the forklift
– Material handling: Safely operate electric forklifts (sit-down) to move, lift, and stack products and materials.
– Loading and unloading: Load and unload trailers with merchandise and materials, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads.
– Safety and maintenance: Perform daily equipment inspections, report any issues, and adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines. Keep the work area clean and organized.
– Repetitive tasks: Perform repetitive activities such as order assembly, labeling, or other tasks as needed.
– Following instructions: Receive and follow instructions from supervisors to perform specific tasks.
– Physical ability: The ability to handle manual tasks, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions as required
– Safety awareness: A strong focus on safety, including the ability to follow safety warnings and guidelines, is essential.
– Attention to detail: Being attentive to detail is important for tasks to ensure work quality is completed correctly.
– Teamwork: The ability to communicate and work with co-workers and supervisors is important for a team-based environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
– Required to wear your own steel toe shoes (green tag) and reflective vest
