We are seeking an experienced Dock Supervisor to lead the day shift team of a Transportation and Logistics company in Brampton, ON.
This position requires an individual with proven experience in a supervisory role within a crossdock facility.
Shift: 8:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday
Salary: Up to $60,000/year
Your Responsibilities as a Dock Supervisor:
– Scheduling/supervising activities of dock staff
– Coordinating loading/unloading of freight
– Inspecting incoming/outgoing freight & ensure all goods are free of damages
– Communicating daily with other dock supervisors
– Investigating delays on arrivals/departures & working with management to solve issues quickly
– Other duties as required
Qualifications:
– Previous experience as a Supervisor within the Transportation/Logistics industry
– Proven experience in an LTL/TL crossdock environment
– Strong leader and motivator
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
– Ability to prioritize incoming work
– Able to work full-time hours on the day shift
