We are seeking a City Router to join our client’s night shift team in Brampton, ON.
The ideal candidate for this position is a dedicated individual with proven experience in Transportation Dispatching/Routing/Planning.
Shift: Night shifts, 10:00pm-6:30am Sunday-Thursday
Salary: Up to $60,000/year
Responsibilities:
– Plan and manage local GTA driver routes
– Review deliveries and determine routes based on customer needs
– Ensure truck loading sequence in order to increase driver productivity
– Maintain daily dispatch log
– Keep in constant communication with drivers, hand out loads, ensure accuracy, and evaluate delivery area
– Other duties as required
Qualifications:
– Proven work experience in LTL Dispatch, Routing, or Transportation Planning
– Experience setting up over 200 deliveries per day
– Knowledge of the GTA/Southern Ontario delivery network and traffic patterns
– Strong knowledge of LTL operations, trip planning, and city routing practices
– Experience with dispatch/TMS systems experience (I.e. TruckMate)
– Proficient with computers
– Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Strong organizational skills
– Able to work independently
– Quick learner
– High attention to detail
– Able to work on the night shift Sunday to Thursday
