Breakaway Executive is currently seeking a P&D Local Dispatcher for a large Transportation company located in the Brampton area.
Previous P&D Dispatching experience within the Transportation/Logistics industry and experience with TruckMate are required for this position.
Salary: $65,000-70,000/year
Shift: 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
– Coordinate, schedule and dispatch local pick-up and delivery drivers
– Monitor driver routes to ensure timely delivery of freight
– Determine any routing problems and resolve issues as soon as possible
– Record mileage, fuel use and repairs
– Act as the liaison between company drivers and customers
– Communicate with drivers during their trips to ensure smooth delivery of freight
– Ensure drivers have all necessary paperwork before dispatching to client sites
– Other duties as required
Qualifications:
– P&D Dispatching experience within a Transportation/Logistics company
– Experience with TruckMate
– Strong knowledge of the GTA
– Experience working with drivers/driver paperwork
– Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
– Strong customer service skills
– Able to work independently
– Good computer skills
– High attention to detail
– Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
– Able to work full-time
